To assist in designing a potential future proposal on an EU initiative of LTC and to support the identification of policy relevant problems, the ‘Study supporting a possible EU initiative on long-term care’ intends to fill knowledge and analytical gaps in the area of LTC.  By developing policy options and assessing their impacts, the Study further intends to support the design of a future initiative on access and quality of LTC, as well as on support to informal carers.
